Cafe faces boycott over bathrooms

Dear Ethics Talk: I manage a café in a college town. Some students recently threatened to start a boycott if we don’t post signs stating that our bathrooms are unisex/gender-neutral (they currently aren’t). We get a lot of evening and Sunday traffic from nearby churches, so we don’t want to upset those churchgoers who may be more traditional. The owner also worries that if we give in on the bathrooms, the students will find something else to threaten us over, like who posts what on our message board. What should we do?
